Our Core Activities

Education

We believe that universal and quality education is quintessential for building a strong foundation for the development of the country. While a lot of efforts have been made towards achieving and sustaining compulsory and universal education at the primary education level, the youth of India needs to be supported to continue their education at the higher levels of education as well.

“Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world”

Nelson Mandela

Our major focus is to assist economically and socially underprivileged students to fulfil their aspirations of higher education. Our initiatives aim to support students in various ways, by providing them a range of services and assistance:

  • Financial assistance to students from economically disadvantaged families to continue their higher education
  • Scholarships to outstanding students to pursue higher studies
  • Infrastructure enhancement at the local schools to enhance quality of education
  • Special focus on physically challenged students

Healthcare

Our goal is to improve the quality of primary health care services in terms of access and delivery for remotely located low-income families.

  • Organise health check-up camps and blood donation camps
  • Distribution of orthopaedic appliances to physically challenged persons and distribute medicines in areas where medical facilities are inadequate
  • Provision for safe and clean drinking water
  • Awareness campaigns for creating consciousness on matters of public health and hygiene

Women Empowerment

All our initiatives focus on providing equal opportunities to women in terms of education, healthcare and social security to allow them to participate fully in economic life across sectors. We aim at creating an environment and empowering women such that women can partake in decision making for them as well as for the society.

  • Encouraging and supporting girls to continue higher education
  • Promoting Alternative Reality for women

Skill Development

We assist and encourage students from economically under privileged background by giving them access to quality vocational skill training to make them employable and job-ready.

With this objective, we have partnered with Siemens Industry Software (SISW) to set up technical Skill Development Institutes (t-SDI) to train students in SISW Software Applications and vocational trades, which is widely used in the industry. Sudhangshubala Foundation is an Authorised Training Partner of SISW.

t-SDIs are focused on skilling students in several technical vocational trades at three different levels of expertise. Each of these levels are carefully designed to ensure that the students who successfully complete the same can get employed at junior, senior, and master level of the trade.

Digital Empowerment

We are a partner in the Digital India Programme and have partnered with the CSC e-Governance Services India Limited under the Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY). We have established Common Service Centers (CSCs) at multiple locations to serve as access points for delivery of various electronic services to villages in India, thereby contributing to a digitally and financially inclusive society.

“CSCs are more than service delivery points in rural India. They are positioned as change agents, promoting rural entre preneurship and building rural capacities and livelihoods. They are enablers of community participation and collective action for engendering social change through a bottom-up approach with key focus on the rural citizen”
